School
I have now started school. This year I am going for cosmetology part time. I just wanted everyone to know that even if you have Turner's you can still achieve your dreams. I love to hear your stories so feel free to email me at kountry.kouture@yahoo.com. I just hope that my blog shows that even if you have Turner's you are a normal person and can achieve anything. The world is your internet search for what you want. I am living proof of this. It took me a little while to wrap my head around every aspect of Turner's. But once I did I realized that it doesn't make me that much different. It just makes me that much stronger.

Spreading the Message
I hope you all who read this will help me spread my message. I want to make Turner's better known. When I found out I had Turner's I had NOO idea what it was. I have since learned a lot and come to terms with having Turner's Syndrome. I had to go throught several different types of medical treatments. I had to take growth hormone shots and thyroid pills and other pills. I want to help any other girl who needs support going through this experience or any parents.

I have now made a facebook page called My life with Turner's Syndrome. So you can get on facebook and like it. I would love to answer your questions or hear your stories you can either comment them or email me at kountry.kouture@yahoo.com The way I found out I had Turner's is my brother has diabetes so he goes to an endocrinologist and he has always been tall. So my dad made a comment to the doctor about my brother should give me some of his heighth that he was stealing it all. So then the doctor decided to run the test for TS and I found out I had TS. I didn't know that much about Turner's until I was about 13 or 14. LIke the fact that only 3% of people with TS can have kids naturally. I now know a lot more and want to help other people with Turner's.

My life
The title of the blog pretty much sums it up. I have Turner's Syndrome. If you don't know what Turner's is, summed up in a few words it is (according to turnersyndrome.org) "Turner syndrome (TS) is a chromosomal condition that describes girls and women with common features that are caused by complete or partial absence of the second sex chromosome". I have decided to make a blog to make a support and informational place for people with Turner's. I am just your average person a teenager who is living her everyday life. I was about 10 when I found out that I had Turner's. Since then I have come a long ways. I took growth hormone because at the time I found out, I was only about 4'9 now I am 5'2. It really has helped me. I am still short but pretty average. When I went on growth hormone 5'2 was my goal height. I was on growth hormone until I was about 14. I am now 15 so I have been off of it for a little over a year. I also have Hyperthyroidism. Which if you couldn't tell is a thyroid condition. I have to take pills for that. It is very common in people with Turner's. I have decided to make this blog so others and myself have a support place. Feel free to leave comments with questions and you can email me your story at kountry.kouture@yahoo.com.
